When the power goes, does your till stop selling?

Anyone who has run a shop through a power cut knows the sequence: the lights go, the till goes, the queue does not. Out comes the notebook. Prices are guessed, change is estimated, and three hours later somebody has to type it all back in, if they remember to.

A cloud till that needs a live connection for every sale was designed somewhere the power stays on.

What the till should do instead

The EasyBiz point of sale runs on a tablet or laptop and keeps working with no internet and no mains power for as long as the battery lasts:

  • Sales continue with the full product list, barcodes and prices.
  • Receipts print to a small battery-powered printer, or go to the customer on WhatsApp.
  • Payment methods stay available: cash in USD or ZWG, EcoCash, swipe when the terminal has signal, and split payments.
  • When connectivity returns, everything syncs to the main system in order. Stock, cash-up and reports come out as if nothing happened.

No notebook, no retyping, no gap in the numbers.

End of day, even on a bad day

The cash-up report compares what the till says it took against what is in the drawer, per cashier, per payment method. On a day with three power cuts that is the report that tells you whether the chaos cost you anything.

Multi-branch

Each branch till works on its own and syncs to the same business, so the owner sees all branches live from one phone, and stock moved between branches is tracked.

Which package

The Tuck Shop package uses the built-in till; Shop and above include the full offline point of sale. Hardware (tablet, scanner, printer) is quoted separately, and a basic setup is far less than most owners expect.

See it working before you decide

The demo sites are live, no signup needed. When you are ready, pick a package and your own site is built minutes after payment.
