Fiscalisation is one of those things every owner knows they need and puts off, because the first quote involved a dedicated device, a technician, and a system that did not talk to anything else in the shop. So the shop runs two systems, or one system and a stack of manual fiscal invoices, and hopes.
What ZIMRA actually needs
Each invoice reported to the Fiscal Device Management System (FDMS), with the required details and a fiscal reference on the invoice. Whether that comes from a dedicated device or from your business software connected to FDMS does not matter to ZIMRA; it matters a great deal to you, because one of them means keeping two sets of records.
The connected route
With the EasyBiz fiscalisation add-on, the invoice you already raise at the till or on WhatsApp is submitted to FDMS and comes back with the fiscal reference on it. One invoice, one system, no separate device to keep charged and no retyping. Your sales report and your fiscal report are the same numbers, which is also what an auditor wants to see.
Before go-live, a test invoice is run against the FDMS sandbox so the first real one does not bounce.
What it costs
The add-on is $16 a month on any package. Compared with a fiscal device on a service contract, most shops come out ahead in the first year, and there is nothing extra to buy.
Not just shops
Professional firms, clinics and workshops invoice too. The add-on works the same way on a consulting invoice or a patient bill as it does on a till receipt.
